The West Carleton School of Performing Arts has been proudly introducing music and the performing arts to our community since September 2000. What began as a place to learn and grow has become a welcoming studio where students and families come together to celebrate creativity, confidence and a shared love of the arts.
Our Studio Community
At WCSOPA, we believe the studio should feel like a second home. Students are encouraged to have fun, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships in a positive and supportive environment. We welcome students of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds, and strive to create a space where everyone feels valued and included.

To create an inclusive dance community where every person belongs and every dancer has the opportunity to grow.
We believe dance is for everyone. Whether your goal is to dance for joy or pursue the highest levels of training, you will be challenged, supported and celebrated.
We believe our greatest growth happens when we feel safe, seen, and free to be curious. We celebrate mistakes as that is where the most growth happens and we value progress over perfection.
Our focus is on development over scores, community over trophies, and connection over comparison. The path to reaching our goals is a slow steady supported climb, not a high paced race towards burnout.
Above all, we believe that our worth is never defined by our performance. Dance is a lifelong gift that builds confidence, strengthens body and mind, and creates friendships that last a lifetime.

Our Programs & Performances
We offer a wide variety of quality programs, including recreational and competitive dance opportunities. We are especially proud of our Competitive Dance Team and the dedication of the students who participate. Our year-end recital is a highlight of the season and a joyful celebration of our students’ hard work and achievements.
Our Facilities
Our studio features over 2000 square feet of space, including two air-conditioned studios with professional dance floors, mirrored walls, and ballet barres. Families are welcome to relax in our comfortable waiting area, which includes high speed Wi-Fi for those on the go.
